Kantha.
A centuries-old running stitch tradition from West Bengal.
Originally used to layer worn saris into quilts and garments.
Nothing wasted. Everything repurposed.
"The stitch itself is simple. A running stitch. Repetitive. Meditative. It takes hours per centimetre. It cannot be rushed."
In Minusone, kantha is not decoration. It is structure.
Each stitch reinforces the fabric and tells you exactly where a human hand has been.
When you own a kantha piece, you own time. Someone else's, given to you deliberately.
Natural Fabrics
We spent weeks looking for the right linen.
Not the softest. Not the cheapest.
The one that would age the right way.
"Linen stiffens slightly when washed and softens over years of wear. It holds shape without structure. It breathes in heat."
We chose it because it does not hide what it is.
The colour will deepen with wear.
In five years it will look more itself than it does today.
That is what we are building Collection 01 around.
